Our 200 and 500 hour yoga teacher training programs have been designed to fit the needs of serious yoga students and aspiring yoga teachers alike. These programs will provide you with an unparalleled approach to yoga and health that will help you learn our science based approach to yoga, the mechanics of yoga postures and their logical sequencing, and a unique approach to meditation in a fun and supportive way. To supplement this, we have assembled an outstanding team of mind-body experts and world-class medical professionals to augment your learning process.
Drawing from the groundbreaking developments in exercise science, time-tested meditation techniques, and the combined expertise of our outstanding staff, this program will help you explore how to positively affect your own life as well as those around you through the art and science of yoga.
Highlights of the program include:
An experiential learning format:
Just as we learn how to swim by swimming, how to draw by drawing and to sing by singing, the best way to become a good yoga teacher is to actually teach classes. To help you develop your teaching skills, you will be given plenty of time to engage in exercises that will help you practice doing all of the things that will be required of you as a professional yoga teacher.
Group learning experiences:
Since we often learn more by interacting with peers than through any other means, our teacher training will focus on creating small learning communities that will help you absorb information at an accelerated rate through focus exercises, group discussions and guided partner work. Supplementary readings and homework assignments will be given to support the learning that we do in class.
A strong emphasis on information creation:
Creating new materials is one of the best ways to integrate new knowledge and skills into your memory banks. With this in mind, our training will encourage you to create new neural connections through yoga sequence creation, group presentations, and fun interactive exercises that engage your whole body and mind.
